Urban Art Azerbaijan emerged as an informal graffiti and urban culture community in Baku and gradually evolved into a recognised platform for legal street art projects. The collective played a key role in introducing graffiti into public and semi-public spaces through collaboration with institutions, youth organisations, and brands.
FORMAT & LOCATIONS
Joint projects were implemented across a wide range of urban and non-standard locations — from city centres and shopping areas to parks and mountain resorts. Notable initiatives included live public painting events at Park Bulvar and large-scale formats such as the Shahdag Graffiti Festival, expanding street art practices beyond traditional urban environments.
MVP AGENCY ROLE
MVP Agency worked with Urban Art Azerbaijan as a creative and production partner, structuring each initiative as a full-scale urban culture event. The agency’s scope included concept development, zoning and layout planning, audience flow management, branding and navigation, coordination of music and performance elements, and full photo and video documentation.
RESULT & IMPACT
The collaborations helped reposition graffiti in Azerbaijan as a visible, structured, and publicly accessible cultural practice. The projects provided emerging artists with legal platforms, live audiences, and media exposure, while demonstrating how street art can coexist with public institutions and brand partnerships without losing authenticity.
