Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five is a global five-a-side football tournament created with Neymar Jr, uniting young players from dozens of countries in fast, technical matches where every goal removes a player and only one team is left standing

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five is a five-a-side football tournament built around its own signature rules. Matches last ten minutes, goalkeepers are not allowed, and every time a team concedes a goal, one player must leave the pitch. This structure creates a fast, technical and highly intense format where every goal immediately changes the balance of the game.

AZERBAIJAN QUALIFICATIONS

In Azerbaijan, the tournament brings together hundreds of amateur teams aged 16 to 25 from across the country. Regional qualifiers are held in cities including Baku, Ganja, Lankaran, Sheki and Quba. The strongest teams advance to the national final staged on Baku Seaside Boulevard. In previous editions, more than 300 teams participated in the qualification rounds, with 16 teams reaching the final stage.

PATH TO THE WORLD FINAL

Winners of the Azerbaijan national final earn the right to represent the country at the Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five World Final, competing at Neymar Jr’s home base against teams from dozens of countries. For young players, this tournament represents one of the rare opportunities to take street football skills onto a truly global stage.

MVP AGENCY ROLE

MVP worked on the Azerbaijan edition as a local creative and production partner. The agency was responsible for shaping the overall look and atmosphere of the event, including layout and branding of the playing cage and fan zones, integration of Red Bull and supporting partners into the venue, music and MC flow, show rhythm during the national final, as well as coordination with media and content teams capturing matches and crowd moments.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The objective was to preserve the core DNA of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five as a raw, technical street football tournament while delivering a visually strong, well-organised and engaging experience for both players and audiences in Azerbaijan.
