The Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five soccer tournament is a worldwide event organised by Red Bull Media House, bringing together street football culture and competitive spirit on a global scale. The tournament spans six continents and runs for several months — from the first local qualifiers to the World Final, traditionally held in Brazil.
After a three-year break, the Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five World Final returned in 2022, taking place in Doha, Qatar, at the Qatar Foundation. Five-a-side footballers from across the globe gathered to compete in what became the biggest edition of the tournament to date.
The World Final was broadcast live on Red Bull TV, allowing fans worldwide to follow the action in real time. A total of 64 teams from 34 countries qualified for the final stage, including national champions from both 2021 and 2022, as well as three Jr’s Global Five teams — making this a true “Super Final”.
What makes Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five unique is its fast-paced and unconventional format. There are no goalkeepers, and each time a team scores, one opposing player is eliminated. Matches last 10 minutes or end earlier if one team loses all its players — turning every goal into a tactical turning point.
In Azerbaijan, the tournament was presented as a high-energy sports event that combined football, youth culture, and lifestyle entertainment. MVP Sports & Events contributed to the local execution and event operations, aligning the experience with Red Bull’s global event standards.
